St. Lawrence County Public Health Department Launches Innovative Overdose Dashboard

CANTON – The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department, in partnership with the

St. Lawrence County Planning Office, is pleased to announce the launch of its new Overdose

Dashboard, a tool providing data on drug overdoses within the county.

The Overdose Dashboard, accessible to the public, offers insights into overdose incidents,

including geographic distribution, demographic data, and trends over time. This platform aims

to enhance the county's response to the opioid epidemic by enabling more targeted

interventions and resource allocation.

Key Features of the Overdose Dashboard:

1. Time/Data: Access to the latest overdose reports, supporting up-to-date information, and

informed decision-making.

2. Geographic Mapping: Visual representation of overdose hotspots, helping to identify

areas in need of urgent attention.

3. Trend Analysis: Historical data to track the progression of the opioid crisis and measure

the impact of public health initiatives.

The development of the Overdose Dashboard was made possible through collaboration with St.

Lawrence County Community Services, North Country Crime Analysis Center, and High

Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA). The dashboard is part of a broader strategy to

enhance public health surveillance and response capabilities in St. Lawrence County.
